Who we are

We are a vibrant student-run society which primarily acts to organise events relevant to the energy and climate change sectors. These could be site visits, sponsor’s events or, much more commonly, talks.

Our talks have featured a range of speakers: from Oxford University academics, to journalists, to representatives of National Grid themselves. The society revolves around these talks, and we are pleased to organise them on an ongoing basis. If you are interested in giving a talk, please follow the steps in the “Contact” section of the website.

You can attend one of our lectures on most Wednesday evenings during term time, starting at 5:30pm and finishing at 6:30pm, with room for questions and free pizza. This year they are held at the Department of Materials, Parks Rd, Oxford OX1 3PH.

Lifetime membership can be acquired for as little as £10. Alternatively, you can opt to spend £2 per event (which pays for itself with the pizza!). Subscribe to our mailing list and learn more about membership on the “Membership” page.
